🚀I have been thoroughly inspired by all the creative people who publish awe-inspiring works consistently, year in and year out. Ali Abdaal, one of my go-to YouTubers for book recommendations and productivity, has been pushing me to start my creative platform (through his videos, of course, even though I’d fancy meeting him in person). The prime obstruction lies within my head, i.e., suffering from imposter syndrome every time I intend to embark on my creative journey.
âš¡ Over the past couple of years, since I first considered showing my work or journalling my expertise on a platform, I have always had second thoughts, which delayed the process every time. However, the biggest obstacle lies in overcoming the activation energy.
Had I not set my initial goal so high, I would’ve published this article a year ago, at least. Inspired by my favourite book, which I have read three times to date, Atomic Habits has moulded my approach to building lasting habits. I had to eliminate every possible obstacle to get my system up and running, which meant choosing a platform like Medium initially rather than setting up a website that involved layers of work. Once I can be consistent with my weekly publishing, I will opt for a personal website for blogging. 🤞
🧠I intend to publish whatever for the first few months just to establish a routine system, and then I will niche it down based on what works best. However, I intend to write about my experience in my current field of interest, data science and business analytics. Additionally, add a couple of articles regarding productivity hacks that worked for me, AI and book reviews.
My anxiety is already creeping in, so I’ll end this here; otherwise, I’ll spend another year hoping to perfect this rusty article rather than actually publishing it.
